If a guy that struggled for 4 years in 3rd grade can do it, anyone can.

After Ben lost his furniture stores in 2007, lost his homes, his plane and his farm he moved his 5 children (the ones still at home) into a 2 bedroom mobile home that was sitting in a holler in the East TN mountains.

He applied and received food stamps and began searching for ways to make a living. He ran across a story of a family that saved their home from foreclosure with a mobile kitchen / mobile restaurant and had only invested about $3,000.

Problem was, Ben didn’t have $3,000.

Cory Lawrence had a dream of opening his own restaurant but soon found the costs to be insurmountable. A food truck was a similar obstacle with prices ranging up to $250,000.

Cory discovered an alternative that would fulfill his dreams without having to borrow hundreds of thousands of dollars and allow him a shortcut into the black side of a ledger book.

According to the Bureau of Statistics, new restaurants fail within the first 12 months. And a more recent study showed that in the first 3 years, 56% of restaurants fail. Most of this can be attributed to lack of market research, location and poor management.

Fortunately there is an easy alternative which allows a future restauranteur to test market.

You’ve seen the explosion of street food over the past few years. The industry has created quit a buzz and the popularity of this alternative has inspired new tv shows, documentaries and inspired many to want to jump in feet first.

Food truck popularity was driven mostly by this unique way to get restaurant quality meals and avoid the fast food chains all while being able to still get good food fast.

Food trucks also made it more convenient for many to grab a great meal without having to make their way across town to their once favorite eateries.

Sticker shock met those wanting to get started when they did their first Google® search for “food truck for sale”. Prices on the most basic food trucks begin with tens of thousands of dollars and can go up into the hundreds of thousands.
